Sofia Vergara Bio
Sofia Vergara is originally from Barranquilla, Colombia. During her early years, she attended a strict catholic school before being discovered by a photographer at a beach in her hometown of Barranquilla. She began her career as a model and then became a television host on Univision before going on to become an actress. She made her film debut in 2002 with the film ‘Big Trouble” and was then in “Chasing Papi” a year later; however, it was not until a few years later that her career skyrocketed after playing her sexy new character “Gloria Delgado” in ABC’s Modern Family which was a hit. She has blond hair, but was told to dye her hair brown to fit the stereotypical Latina look. She has a thick accent and she has mentioned many times during interviews that she would like get rid of her accent, but it is difficult for her. She is considered one of the sexiest Latinas on American television. She has a son named Manolo Gonzales Ripoll Vergara.
