Mandy Moore Bio
Amanda Leigh Moore is a singer, and also an actress. She was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, but she moved with her family to Orlando, Florida grew up there. She became interested in acting and singing when she was a child. She has mentioned that she was inspired by her grandmother who was a dancer. She attended the Stagedoor Manor theater camp when she was only twelve years old and then in 1999, she was given the opportunity to tour with N Sync. She then also toured with the Backstreet Boys and then released her debut single “Candy” which was an instant hit. Her debut album “So Real” sold an estimated 2.5 million copies and sold 30,000 it’s first week.
She subsequently released several other successful hits such as “I Wanna Be with You” and “In my Pocket.” She decided to venture into the film industry and made her film debut in 2001 in the film “Dr. Dolittle 2.” She then appeared in the film “Princess Diaries’ alongside Anne Hathaway. Other films in which she appeared include “A Walk to Remember” and “Black Hawk Down” to name a few. In 2005 she launched her fashion line called Mblem which is aimed at taller woman. Aside from her career, she has worked with non profit organizations such as Population Services International against malnutrition in children and other conditions which affect children.
