Julia Fiona Roberts is an actress from Atlanta, Georgia. When she was a child, she loved animals and wanted to become a veterinarian, but later went on to study journalism. Her brother Eric Roberts became an actor and it inspired her to become an actress. Robert’s parents had also acted when they were younger. She became famous in Hollywood in the early 1990s after starring in the hit comedy “Pretty Women.” The film became an instant hit and she became an internationally recognized actress. She received a Golden Globe Award.
She is one if the highest paid actresses in Hollywood. After her breakthrough performance in “Pretty Woman,” she has also starred in films such as “Stepmom,” “Ocean’s Eleven,” and “Erin Brockovich.” Roberts received an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in “Erin Brockovich” as Erin Brockovich. Besides the film industry, she has also contributed to charities such as Unicef. She also narrated a documentary about Rett syndrome called Silent Angels to help raise public awareness about this disorder. She also revealed in an interview with Elle magazine that she is a follower of Hinduism.
