Austin Mahone is a pop singer and songwriter born in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Lady Bird Johnson High School. He began posting videos on Youtube in 2010 with his friend Alex Constancio. He began to post music videos in 2011 and built an online following. In October 2011, he posted a video covering Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe.” On August 2012, Mahone announced that he had been signed to Universal Republic Records.
He launched his first single “11:11” followed by his second single “Say Somethin” in 2013. He was subsequently named one of MTV’s artists to watch. He is currently signed to Young Money Entertainment and signed a deal with Lil Wayne to become the “Teen Ambassador” for Lil Wayne’s Trukfit clothing line. He has also filmed commercials for Mc Donnalds and Hot Nuts.
